Dregea volubilis is a species of plant in the family Apocynaceae that is native to India.[1]

Regional names

"Kodippaalai" in Tamil, "Wattakakka" in Malayalam, "Gway Dock" in Myanmar (Burmese).

Geographical source

Dregea volubilis plant mostly found in western ghats of Tamil Nadu and Kerala, particularly in Nilgris and Wayanad Districts.

Medicinal Uses

Commonly Used in Siddha and Ayurveda for treatment of Hepatotoxicity, Diabetes mellitus
