Xu Yongyue

Xu Yongyue (simplified Chinese: 许永跃; traditional Chinese: 許永躍; pinyin: Xǔ Yǒngyuè; born July 1942 in Zhenping County, Nanyang, Henan) was the Minister of State Security of the People's Republic of China (1998 – August 31, 2007) and is a member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) (since 2002).

He graduated from Beijing People's Public Security School. He joined the CPC in 1972.

Xu Yongyue was the alternate member of the 15th CPC Central Committee and formal member of the 16th CPC Central Committee.
