Waitakaruru is a rural community in the Hauraki District and Waikato region of New Zealand's North Island. It is situated at the mouth of Waitakaruru River[1]

The population of Waitakaruru was 90 people in 36 households in the 2013 New Zealand census.[2]

Education

Waitakaruru School is a co-educational state primary school,[3] with a roll of 94 as of February 2024.[4][5]
