Fregellae's revolt

The Latin town of Fregellae rebelled against Rome in 125 BCE and was captured and destroyed by Lucius Opimius, Consul of the Roman Republic at the time. A year later Fabrateria Nova was founded near the site of the destroyed town.[1]
