Roadie (app)
Roadie is an Atlanta-based crowdsourced, same-day delivery service[1]. Considered the nation's first "on-the-way" delivery service, Roadie's model utilizes unused capacity in passenger vehicles already on the road to make regional and last-mile deliveries[2]. The company has over 120,000 drivers and has made deliveries to more than 11,000 cities and towns nationwide[3], for the largest local same-day footprint in the nation. Roadie was founded in 2014 by Marc Gorlin, who currently serves as the CEO.
Roadie has raised $25 million in funding from Stephens Inc., the UPS Strategic Enterprise Fund, and TomorrowVentures.[4][5]
On February 6, 2020, Roadie was named to the Technology Association of Georgia Top 40 Innovative Technology Companies in Georgia [6].
