First publication (as magazine insert)

Madeline's Christmas is an illustrated children's book by Ludwig Bemelmans. It features popular children's character Madeline. It was first published in 1956 as a special book insert to McCalls Magazine.[1] It did not get issued independently until 1985.

Plot

Madeline finds herself having to manage the needs of the school when everyone else falls ill.

There was a 1990 TV version of this story, in which the magician was replaced by an old lady named Madame Marie.
