Sascha Braunig

Sascha Braunig (born 1983) is a Canadian painter. Her paintings have been variously described as hyperrealist[1] and surrealist.[2][3]
Braunig was born in Qualicum Beach, British Columbia and grew up in Maine.[4] Braunig lives and works in Portland, Oregon.[5]
Braunig was included in the 2014 Thames and Hudson book 100 Painters of Tomorrow .[6] In 2015 she took part in the New Museum triennial exhibition titled Surround Audience.[1][3] In she had a solo exhibition titled Shivers at MoMA PS1, New York,[7] and a solo show at Norway's Kunsthall Stavanger.[8] Her work is included in the collection of the National Gallery of Victoria, Melbourne, Australia.[9]
