UNICOM Global is a US-based IT company, headquartered in Mission Hills, California. It is the parent company of the formerly NASDAQ-listed UNICOM Government, Inc. (then known as GTSI), whom it acquired in June 2012.[1][2][3][4]
Corry Hong is the founder, CEO, and president of the company.[5]
It is also the parent company of USRobotics, Macro 4 and Firetide. It has acquired a number of products from IBM – System Architect, Focal Point, PurifyPlus, solidDB , Cognos Finance, and the PowerHouse programming language.
In 2006, they acquired SoftLanding Systems,[6] who were one of the "Big Three" change management vendors on the IBM i platform.[7]
In 2015, its subsidiary Unicom Government was one of 6 vendors jointly awarded a $652 million U.S. Army contract for enterprise IT modernization.[8]

The IBM i business is not what it used to be, and each of the Big Three change management vendors has a lower profile than it once did. Aldon, of course, is now part of Rocket Software, while SoftLanding Systems was long ago gobbled up by Unicom Global, a conglomerate with a different culture from that of SoftLanding.

The contract calls for World Wide, a systems integration company founded by David Steward and Jim Kavanaugh in 1990, to work on the enterprise IT modification contract along with other major industry players such as IBM Corp., Dell's Federal Systems unit and Unicom Government Inc.
