Prešov District in the Prešov Region

Haniska (Hungarian: Eperjesenyicke) is a village and municipality in the Prešov District, Prešov Region in eastern Slovakia.

History

In historical records, the village was first mentioned in 1288.

Geography

The municipality lies at an altitude 233 metres and covers an area of 1.902 km². It has a population of about 616 people

Points of interest

At Haniska, there is a mediumwave broadcasting station, which uses a 220 metres tall guyed mast.
