Poteč is a village and municipality (obec) in Zlín District in the Zlín Region of the Czech Republic.

The municipality covers an area of 10.55 square kilometres (4.07 sq mi), and has a population of 756 (as at 3 July 2006).

Poteč lies approximately 29 kilometres (18 mi) east of Zlín and 282 km (175 mi) east of Prague.
