The Ministry of Public Works of West Bengal is a Bengal government ministry.[1] It is a ministry mainly responsible for providing adequate infrastructural support both original and repair works to all the departments directly under the Government of West Bengal as well as different semi-Government / Government Undertakings etc. so that they can successfully deliver their assigned services by the joint venture of engineers Civil, Electrical, Mechanical and Architectural Wings. It includes buildings, roads, bridges, electrification, sanitary plumbing, air-conditioning, fire-fighting & detection, lifts, water supply, Generators, EPABX, Information Technology etc. divided into civil wing, electrical wing, ang it wing, under control of electrical wing. Ministerial Team

The ministerial team is headed by the Cabinet Minister for Public Works, who may or may not be supported by Ministers of State. Civil servants are assigned to them to manage the ministers' office and ministry.[1]

The current head of the ministry is Subrata Bakshi and the Minister of State under him is Subrata Saha.[1]
