Agnes Tjongarero

Agnes Tjongarero (born 17 May 1946) is a Namibian politician. In March 2020, she was appointed the Minister of Sport, Youth and National Service.[1] She is a member of SWAPO and served as the Deputy Minister of Sport, Youth and National Service from 2015 to 2020.

Tjongarero has played leadership roles on Namibia National Olympic Committee from 1997 to present day and the Namibia Netball Association.[2]

Prior to entering politics, she was a nurse and nursing college lecturer.[2]
