Menaud, maître-draveur is a novel by Félix-Antoine Savard, first published in 1937. It is considered as a classic masterpiece of Quebec literature's traditional roman de terre, or "novel of the land".

Savard made four editions of his novel :

  • 1938, translated to English by Alan Sullivan with the title "Boss of the River"
  • 1944
  • 1960
  • 1964, translated to English by Richard Howard with the title "Master of the River"
