Akwasi Osei-Adjei

The Honourable Akwasi Osei-Adjei, M.P. (born 27 December 1949 in the Ashanti Region) was the Ghanaian Minister for Foreign Affairs from July 2007 to February 2009. He was given this position on 31 July 2007 and continued until after the 2008 presidential election. From March 2001 to April 2003 he was the Deputy Minister for Trade and Industry and for over four years from April 2003, he served as Deputy Minister.[1]

Political career

Osei-Adjei was selected as a New Patriotic Party (NPP) candidate in 1992, the 1992 parliamentary elections, the first of the Fourth Republic, were boycotted by the NPP. In 1996, 2000 and 2004 he was returned as member of parliament for Ejisu-Juaben.
