Robert Goforth (born February 27, 1976) is an American politician from the state of Kentucky. A Republican, he serves in the Kentucky House of Representatives.

Goforth is from East Bernstadt, Kentucky. He was first elected to the Kentucky House in February 2018.[2][3] Goforth challenged incumbent Republican governor Matt Bevin in the 2019 gubernatorial election, getting roughly 40 percent of the vote in the primary election.[4]

In April 2020 Goforth was arrested on charges relating to domestic violence. Laurel County Sheriff's Office charged Goforth with first-degree strangulation, fourth-degree domestic assault and third-degree terroristic threatening. He was taken to the Laurel County Detention Center. [5]
