Antoine Herth (born February 14, 1963 in Sélestat) is a French politician of the Democratic Movement (MoDem) who has been serving as a member of the National Assembly of France since the 2002 elections, representing the Bas-Rhin department.[1]
Political career
In parliament, Herth has been serving as member of the Committee on Economic Affairs since 2002. He has also been a member of the Committee on Sustainable Development and Spatial Planning (2010-2012) and the Committee on Foreign Affairs (2018-2020).[2]
In addition to his committee assignments, Herth chairs the French-Bulgarian Parliamentary Friendship Group.[3] Since 2019, he has also been a member of the French delegation to the Franco-German Parliamentary Assembly.[4]
Political positions
In the Republicans’ 2016 presidential primaries, Herth endorsed Bruno Le Maire as the party's candidate for the office of President of France.[5]
In July 2019, Herth voted in favor of the French ratification of the European Union’s Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA) with Canada.[6]
