Afzalur Rahman[1] was an MLA from 39 no. Jaleswar Vidhan Saba in 1978 from the Janata Party[2], in 1983 from Independent[3]and in 1991 from the Indian National Congress[4]. And in 1996 from Indian National Congress.[5] In 2006 from Loko Sanmilon Party.[6] And was Pamchyet Minister of Assam.

He is from Katarihata, Goalpara.
