Yvonne Lui Lai-Kwan (Chinese: 呂麗君; pinyin: Lǚ Lìjūn; born 1977) is a Hong Kong-based philanthropist.

Early life

Lui was born in Hong Kong. Her father owned a plastic factory.[1] She received a BSc and PhD degrees from King's College at University of London.[2]

Philanthropy

Lui is Honorary President of Hong Kong Federation of Women, a non-profit organisation of over 100,000 members that subsidises local organisations for women.[3]

In 2008, she was named Executive Vice-President of the Executive Committee of Youth Movement. The body encouraged grass root support of the Olympic Games, and participation in sporting events. She is a trustee of Peking University and the Beijing University of International Business and Economics.

In 2007, Lui established an aid project that built local medical and sanitation clinics for remote communities in Hebei Province.[4]

Politics

In 2013, Lui was appointed as a member of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference for Beijing, a position she still holds.[5]
