Gary Leif is a Republican member of the Oregon House of Representatives. He represents the 2nd district.
Biography
Leif owned a Roseburg photography studio, and formerly resided in Winston, Oregon. He was elected to the Douglas County Commission in 2016.[2][3]
Following the resignation of Representative Dallas Heard to take a seat in the Oregon Senate, Leif was appointed to the House of Representatives on April 30, 2018, and sworn in on May 9.[4][5][6] He had previously announced his bid for the seat in March 2018.[7]
Political positions
Leif is pro-life.[8] He opposes sanctuary cities[citation needed] and favors sending Oregon National Guard troops to the Mexico–United States border.[citation needed]
