Danny Byrne

Daniel Byrne (born 30 November 1984) is former professional footballer who previously played for Australian club Olympic FC and lead the team as captain.[1]

Career

He played as forward, for Manchester United, Hartlepool United, Reading, Southport, Chester City, Droylsden, Runcorn FC Halton, Leigh RMI, Witton Albion, Newcastle Town, Mossley, Flixton, Brisbane Olympic, Ashton United and Salford City.[2] He returned 2013 to Olympic FC and was named as captain.[3]

Byrne made his league debut on 29 November 2003, while on loan from Manchester United, playing in Hartlepool's 2–0 home win over Swindon Town.[4] He made one more appearance for Hartlepool in the league – a 4–1 loss to Queens Park Rangers – and one in the FA Cup – a 1–0 win over Burton Albion.

International

In April 2003 was named in the Irish U-19 national team.[5]
