Sharon Jewell (born 1960) is a former US Olympian in the sport of taekwondo.[1] She would train at Howard University under Dong Ja Yang.[2] Sharon would earn a bronze medal in the 1988 Seoul Olympics.[1] While there she would meet and date Olympic wrestler, Rodney Smith.[1]

Her father, Jerry Donal Jewell, was the first African-American member of the Arkansas State Senate.[1]
