The Manitoba Marathon weekend consists of a Marathon, Half Marathon, Marathon Relay, 10 km race, and 2.6 mile Super run. The marathon was first run in the City of Winnipeg in 1979 and since then be held annually on Father's Day. All distances attracted 13,192 participants from around the world, including 564 in the full marathon event.

The Half Marathon is currently the Canadian Half Marathon Championships, awarded hosting duties from 2019 through 2022.[2]

The 2020 edition has been postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The full Marathon 42.195-kilometre (26.219 mi) runs through residential and downtown streets.
