Founded in 1893, HBS Craeyenhout spent a period of 58 years – 1896 to 1954 – in the top division of Dutch football, winning the league in 1903–04, 1905–1906 and 1924–1925. The club contributed a number of players to the Dutch national side, and continues to play to this day as an amateur team in the Hoofdklasse.
