The Wofford Terriers men's basketball team represents Wofford College in Spartanburg, South Carolina, United States, in Division I of the NCAA. The school's team competes in the Southern Conference. Wofford is coached by Jay McAuley, who was promoted after long-time head coach Mike Young left for Virginia Tech after the 2018-19 season. Wofford plays its home games at Jerry Richardson Indoor Stadium, opened for the 2017–18 season as the replacement for Benjamin Johnson Arena.

In 2010, Wofford won the Southern Conference^[2] and made its first trip to the NCAA championship, a feat which they repeated in 2011,^[3] 2014 and 2015.^[4] In 2019, Wofford was nationally ranked for the first time in Division I, peaking at 20th in March.

Wofford defeated #5 University of North Carolina 79 - 75 at The Dean E. Smith Center in Chapel Hill, NC on 12/20/2017.^[12]^[13] The win was the first for the Terriers over an AP top 25 opponent in program history.^[12] Fletcher Magee lead all scorers with 27 points for the Terriers, on 10/23 shooting, and committed 0 turnovers in the win.^[14]^[13] UNC was a 25.5 point favorite and KPI Sports tweeted after the game, "Wofford’s win at North Carolina tonight is worth +1.05 in KPI, making it the best win by any team so far this season." ^[14]
