The Paupelys is a river of Kėdainiai district municipality, Kaunas County, central Lithuania. It flows for 5.8 kilometres and has a basin area of 8.5 km².[1] The name Paupelys derived from the words castle and surround.[2]
It is a tributary of the Šušvė.
