The town of Saffron Walden once had a railway station. It opened in 1865,[1] and closed in 1964.[2] The station was 43 miles 43 chains (70.07 km) from London Liverpool Street station.[3]
History
The station yard has been developed for housing, with the station building being retained and converted into private dwellings.
