Plot

Matsoukas, a Chicago-based Greek/American with his long suffering wife Caliope, learns that his son is dying. Convinced that the child will do better in Greece, he attempts to raise the airfare to get the family back there.

Unfortunately, all his sources of income dry up until he is forced to fix a dice game to raise the cash. His wife eventually raises the money by stealing from her own mother. They make the trip but Matsoukas decides to stay to avoid further humiliating his wife.
