Preethsod Thappa (English: Is it wrong to fall in love ?) is a 1998 Indian Kannada language romance-drama musical film directed by Ravichandran and produced by Rockline Venkatesh. The film stars Ravichandran and Shilpa Shetty in the lead roles.[1] Actors Lokesh and Lakshmi and Prakash Raj feature in other prominent roles. The film is a remake of Telugu blockbuster film Ninne Pelladata (1996) starring Akkineni Nagarjuna and Tabu in the lead roles.[2]

The film released on 6 November 1998 across Karnataka cinema halls and was declared a musical blockbuster with all the songs tuned by Hamsalekha receiving exceptionally well.

Soundtrack

All the songs are composed and written by Hamsalekha.[3] This was the last film with Hamsalekha - Ravichandran combination before they parted ways due to the differences in opinion.[4]

The sound tracks are hugely popular. Audio copyrights taken By Magnasound India Pvt Ltd. Cassettes and audio CD's were sold in large numbers.
