The 2002 English National Badminton Championships were held in Burgess Hill, Sussex, from 1–3 February 2002.[1][2]

Julia Mann won her seventh singles title putting her just one behind Gillian Gilks on the all-time list. Mark Constable was handed the men's singles title after Colin Haughton was forced to withdraw with severe back spasms.[3]
