Elaine Aron is a psychologist and author.[1] Her 1996 book The Highly Sensitive Person,[2] about individuals with high measures of sensory processing sensitivity,[3] sold over a million copies.[4]

Education

Aron completed undergraduate studies Phi Beta Kappa at the University of California, Berkeley,[5] and later earned an M.A. in clinical psychology from York University and a Ph.D. in clinical depth psychology at Pacifica Graduate Institute.[6] She interned at the C. G. Jung Institute in San Francisco.

Personal life

Aron is married to SUNY-Stony Brook psychology professor[7] Arthur Aron.[8]
