Salempur Rajputan, also called simply Salempur is a settlement in the Roorkee Municipal Corporation of Roorkee in Haridwar district of the Indian state of Uttarakhand. It is nearby the posh area of Roorkee, Ramnagar. Salempur Rajputan is famous for its industrial area. Canara Bank has a branch in Salempur Rajputan.

History

Salempur was the part of Saharanpur district before Haridwar district came into existence on 28 December 1988. From 28 December 1988 to 2016 Salempur Rajputan was a village near Roorkee city. But in 2016 Roorkee became a Municipal Corporation and Salempur was acquired by the Roorkee Municipal Corporation.
