Ro-61 was a Japanese Type L submarine of the Imperial Japanese Navy which served during the 1920s and World War II.

History

Ro-61 was laid down on 5 June 1922 at the Kobe Shipyard of Mitsubishi Heavy Industries and launched on 19 May 1923.[1] She was renumbered RO-61 on 1 November 1924.[1] On 9 February 1924, she was completed and attached to the Sasebo Naval District.[1][2]
