William Lyons (philosopher)

William Edward Lyons is a philosopher who specializes in philosophy of mind. Lyons was the former head of the Department of Philosophy (1985–1995) and Professor of Moral Philosophy (1985–2004) in the School of Mental and Moral Science, Trinity College, Dublin. He is now an Emeritus Fellow of Trinity College Dublin and a member of the Royal Irish Academy."[1] He is also the author of a number of "theatre of thought" dramas.[2] His play about Wittgenstein, The Crooked Roads of Genius had its world premiere on 19 April 2011 at the Riverside Studios.[3] He received his PhD at the University of Dundee.[1]
