Trivia

Rod Steiger, playing Gene Giannini, is filmed in a medium long shot seated on the right side of the screen with a map of Italy in the background. Ten years earlier, in Hands over the City, when Rod Steiger was playing Edoardo Nottola, a similar shot was made with a map of Napoli.
