S Storm is a 2016 Hong Kong-Chinese crime action thriller film directed by David Lam and starring Louis Koo, Julian Cheung and Vic Chou.[2][1] It's the second film in the Storm film series, following 2014's Z Storm. It was released in China by Huace Pictures on September 14, 2016[1] and in Hong Kong on September 15, 2016.[3]

Synopsis

While he is tailing a Jockey Club trader in his investigation, Principal Investigator William Luk (Louis Koo) of the ICAC witnesses the murder of the trader by a lone assassin (Vic Chou). Inspector Lau Po-keung (Julian Cheung) of the Crime Unit is assigned to the murder case and got nowhere with Luk's testimony as Luk refuses to disclose anything pertaining to his own investigation. Another classic run-in between the Police and ICAC is in the making.

When the Police investigation leads to someone called Teacher (Lo Hoi-pang), the biggest player who controls the illegal bookmaking on football betting in Hong Kong, Terry Lun (Bowie Lam), the Security Manager of the Jockey Club is murdered. While Lau is in hot pursuit of the assassin, the assassin escaped the first time by using Lau's sister, Ebby (Dada Chan).

The hired hit is ordered by Big Boss, the mastermind behind an international crime syndicate who manipulates football matches in Europe, to kill Teacher. Big Boss's partner is Ha Chi Yin (Shek Sau), one of the directors of the Jockey Club who is the shoo-in candidate as the next Chairman. Two disciplined forces embarked on the case with mutual distrust ended up with rapport and understanding to uproot the crime syndicate...
