The British School of Ulaanbaatar (BSU) is a private international day school located in Khan Uul District in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. The School offers an educational programme based on the National Curriculum of England and Wales. The majority of the teachers are British. Classes are provided from Nursery (three years of age) in the Early Years Foundation Stage to Year 13 (eighteen years of age) and the School admits students of all nationalities who wish to study a British curriculum in English.

Curriculum

The British School of Ulaanbaatar offers an academic programme that is based on the Cambridge International Examinations system which currently prepares students for IGCSE and A-Level certification. Class sizes are limited to 24 students and the school day runs from 08:10 to 16:00, including extra-curricular activities (ECAs) in the afternoon. Academic subjects taught at the School are English, Mathematics, Science, History, Geography, Economics, Business Studies, Art, Design & Technology, Physical Education, Music, Mandarin Chinese, Mongolian Language and Mongolian History and Culture. All instructions are taught in English except for modern languages and the Mongolian History and Culture classes. English as an Additional Language (EAL) is provided for students who require support to develop their fluency in English, as are sessions for students with identified specific educational needs.

BSU is a Patron's Accredited member of COBIS.
