Aurora Center is a census-designated place (CDP) in Aurora County, South Dakota, United States. The population was 12 at the 2010 census.
Geography
Aurora Center is located at 43°31′39″N 98°35′22″W / 43.52750°N 98.58944°W (43.862198, -98.353642).[3]
According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 0.1 square miles (0.26 km2), all land.
Aurora's location is more prone to tornadic activity than elsewhere in South Dakota.[4]
Demographics
As of the census[1] of 2000, there were 7 people, 3 households, and 0 families residing in the CDP. The population density was 55.3 people per square mile (20.8/km2). There were 3 housing units at an average density of 23.7/sq mi (8.9/km2). The racial makeup of the CDP was 100.00% White.
