Parliamentary Secretaries of the 12th Dáil
On 9 June 1944, the members of the 12th Dáil met for the first time. Éamon de Valera was appointed as Taoiseach by the president on the nomination of the Dáil. He proposed the members of the 4th Government of Ireland, a single-party Fianna Fáil government, and they were approved by Dáil Éireann for appointment by the president. De Valera later appointed the Parliamentary Secretaries.[1]
