Matthew Bacon (born 13 April 1993) is a New Zealand cricketer who plays for Otago.[1] He made his first-class debut on 5 February 2016 in the 2015–16 Plunket Shield.[2] He made his Twenty20 debut for Otago in the 2017–18 Super Smash on 2 January 2018.[3] He made his List A debut for Otago in the 2017–18 Ford Trophy on 31 January 2018.[4] In June 2018, he was awarded a contract with Otago for the 2018–19 season.[5]

In June 2020, he was offered a contract by Otago ahead of the 2020–21 domestic cricket season.[6][7]
