Cape Hinode (68°7′S 42°38′E / 68.117°S 42.633°E / -68.117; 42.633) is a rock cape 3 nautical miles (6 km) west of Akebono Glacier on the coast of Queen Maud Land, Antarctica. It was mapped from surveys and air photos by the Japanese Antarctic Research Expedition, 1957–62, and named Hinode-misaki (sunrise cape).[1] Niban Rock protrudes into the sea 8 nmi (15 km) to the southwest.[2]
