Parko Paliatso LUNA PARK is an amusement park in the strip of Ayia Napa. It is the biggest funfair in the Republic of Cyprus and features the highest ejection seat ride in Europe (the 90m tall Sling-Shot)[1].

It was established in 1999 by Vali Amusements Ltd[2]. It is open every day of the week and offers 40 rides, slides and games. It covers an area of 30,000 m2 (7.4 acres)[3]. On April 12th 2019, a seven-year-old boy and his 44-year-old mother were seriously injured at the park, when their swing collided with another ride.[4]

Attractions

The park offers 4 different kinds of rides[5]:

4 "Extreme rides"

2 "Family extreme rides"

9 "Family rides"

10 "Kiddie rides".

It also offers a number of amusement arcade games and carnival games (e.g. shooting gallery, lucky games etc).

The park has a 1000 square meter restaurant and a free playground area, 6 kiosks (selling corn, hot-dogs, ice-cream, crepes, donuts etc), and 2 bars (selling Cocktails, Long Drinks, Beers, Soft Drinks, Slush Ice etc)[6].

Due to its central location in Ayia Napa, a parking area is available that can host up to 300 cars at a time.

New attractions are being constantly added (with the most recent one being the "Looping Star")[7]; currently 1 new is approved.
