Rhys Christian Lovett (born 15 June 1997) is an English professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for EFL League Two club Cheltenham Town.
Club career
Lovett spent seven years in Walsall's academy where he had loan spells at Aston Villa and Coventry City before joining Rochdale permanently in 2014. After a one-year spell, Lovett moved on to join Cheltenham Town in August 2015, ahead of their National League campaign.[3] Following this, Lovett immediately joined Tiverton Town on a short-term loan deal.[4] Lovett also enjoyed loan spells at Shepton Mallet and Shortwood United between 2015 and 2017 where he also won supporters player of the year.[4] Lovett went onto make his first-team debut for the Robins during their EFL Trophy tie against Swansea City U23s, which resulted in a 2–1 defeat for Cheltenham.[5] On the 5th of May 2018 Lovett made his full football league debut against Crewe Alexandra
