Rubén Albés Yáñez (born 24 February 1985) is a Spanish football manager and former player, who currently manages Romanian Liga I club FC Hermannstadt.[1]
Club career
At the age of 23, he gave up football due to a serious injury and started the Coaching School.
Coaching career
Albés started his coaching career at the Novelda CF team. After only one season he moved to CD Eldense. At the beginning of the 2015-2016 season he coached the second team of the Real Valladolid CF club and in October, the coach Miguel Ángel Portugal took him as assistant manager. For 25 matches he was Portugal's assistant, and in the last 7 matches of the season he was Alberto López's assistant. After leaving the team in Valladolid, he also coached Celta Vigo B and UCAM Murcia CF, and since June 2020 he is the main coach of the Romanian Liga 1 team, FC Hermannstadt, where he replaced the coach Vasile Miriuță. Anamaria Prodan-Reghecampf and Rivaldo were brought to the team from Sibiu.[2][3]
Albés is a coach who has Marcelo Bielsa as a model in this profession, as he declares:
"I am a follower of Bielsa. From several perspectives. His ability to lead a locker room, the way he knows how to explain to a player what. The way he sees football. I studied him for a long time. I discovered an interesting man and a coach to my liking. Many say that technique doesn't train and that you have to be born with it. It's not like that. Pep Guardiola doesn't just work with players who have an impressive native technique. It can grow as long as you know what you want from your players."
