Mayiladi is an ancient greeny village covered with lot of natural resources such as ponds,paddy fields, rivers etc... This village also contains lot of scenic beauty too.the village have lot of sculpture factories so this village also called sculpture city .the sculptures making world famous statues,god, goddess etc... And also mayiladi peoples experts in paddy harvesting and coconut plantings. Mayiladi having lot of stone workers and hard workers itself. The aaratu function is very familiar festival in mayiladi.The function conducted by devotees and aaratu kalai ilakkiya peravai, mayiladi.

Mayiladi is a nagercoil town in Kanniyakumari district in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu.

Demographics

As of 2001 India census,[1] Myladi had a population of 8961. Males constitute 50% of the population and females 50%. Myladi has an average literacy rate of 72%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 76%, and female literacy is 68%. In Myladi, 11% of the population is under 6 years of age. Here religions like Hinduism Christianity Muslims are followed. Ringle taube is the major school in Myladi. Stone sculpture making is famous in Myladi. coconut is a major plantation. Myladi is surrounded by two mountains and scientists says there is no possibilities of earthquake in Myladi followed by tsunami.
