The Jakarta ePrix is an annual race of the single-seater, electrically powered Formula E championship, which will be held in Jakarta, Indonesia. It will be the first FIA-sanctioned race in the country since the A1 GP in 2006 and the first-ever to be administered directly by the body. It should have been first held in the 2019–20 season,[1][2] on 6 June 2020. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the 2020 ePrix was cancelled.
Planning
The plan to include Jakarta as one of the 2020 Formula E hosts was discussed in New York City in July 2019.[3] In August the decision was made and officially announced in September 2019. Jakarta will host the event for next five consecutive years starting from 2020.[4]
Circuit
The circuit will be a street circuit situated around the National Monument, Central Jakarta.
