Birkelse Manor

Birkelse is a village in western Vendsyssel with a population of 666 (1 January 2020),[1] located 12 kilometres (7.5 mi) northeast of Brovst, 10 kilometres (6.2 mi) south of Pandrup and 4 kilometres (2.5 mi) west of Aabybro. The village belongs to the Jammerbugt Municipality and is located in North Jutland. Birkelse belong to Vedsted Sogn. Vedsted Church is located in the village.

In 2017, the remains of a World War II Messerschmitt fighter plane were found in a field in Birkelse.[2]
