William Blount High School is a four-year public American high school located approximately 4.6 mi (7.4 km) from Maryville, Blount County, Tennessee which opened in 1979. Its name is derived from influential revolutionary era American statesman, William Blount. It is one of 18 schools of the Blount County Schools public school district.[2][3]

Demographics

WBHS is 94 percent white, three percent Hispanic and one percent black. One percent of students identify as a part of two or more races.[4]

Athletics

The WBHS athletic teams are known as the Governors.[5]
