Dancing Arabs is the 2002 debut novel by the Arab Israeli writer Sayed Kashua.
Plot summary
The novel tells the story of Eyad, an Israeli Arab teenager from Tira who is admitted to an elite school in Jerusalem. The novel explores his difficulties, divided between his pride for his Palestinian identity and the desire to be a part of Israeli society.[1]
Adaptation
In 2014 the novel had been adapted into a movie by Israeli director Eran Riklis, and Kashua wrote the screenplay.
