Sahukara is a 2004 Indian Kannada romantic drama film directed by Om Prakash Rao and produced by K. Manju. The film stars V. Ravichandran, Rambha, Shashikumar and Anu Prabhakar in the lead roles.[1] Veteran actor Vishnuvardhan made a special appearance in the film.[2] The film was a remake of the Tamil film Muthu which itself was based on the Malayalam film Thenmavin Kombath [3]

The film released on 24 September 2004 to generally positive reviews from critics and went onto become one of the blockbuster hits of 2004 [4] and successfully screened for about 25 weeks in cinema halls.

Vishnuvardhan said he accepted to work in the film "out of inspiration from Rajnikanth".[5]

Soundtrack

Rajesh Ramanath used all the tunes from the original soundtrack Muthu composed by A. R. Rahman.
