Dynacare is a medical laboratory services company based in Brampton, Ontario, Canada.[1] Dynacare operates laboratories in Brampton, Bolton, Bowmanville, London, Ottawa, Thunder Bay, Pointe-Claire, Laval, and Winnipeg. In addition to the main laboratories Dynacare operates patient services centers throughout Ontario, Quebec, Manitoba, Saskatchewan and Alberta.[2] British Columbia, Although many locations are also closing such as in Kingston, Orillia, and Winnipeg.

In Ontario, a mix of service providers perform lab testing, but hospital laboratories make up 47 per cent of the market, and community laboratories, run by private corporations, account for another 46 per cent, according to the Auditor General of Ontario’s 2017 annual report.

Dynacare has the second largest with a marketshare ($194.7 M revenue) of 30.4%, second to Lifelabs who is by far the largest. Lifelabs is a Canadian company that was established in 1958 and has ($404.1M revenue) and a leading 63.11% marketshare, which is over double that of Dynacare's. Together they compose the lionshare of the privatized Lab market.

Dynacare is an operational partnership founded in 1997 as Gamma-Dynacare between: Dynacare Laboratories; Gamma North Peel Partnership Inc.; and Bio-Science Laboratory (Ontario) Limited.[2][3] In 2002 Dynacare Laboratories (one of the Dynacare partners) was acquired by LabCorp, a U.S. company, for $480-million (U.S.) while also assuming Dynacare debt worth $205-million.[4] In 2015, it rebranded itself back to Dynacare.[5]

In 2011 Dynacare acquired the medical laboratory division of Warnex Inc. (TSX:WNX) for $7.5 Million.[6]
